The Irish Cancer Society is the national charity in the Republic of Ireland dedicated to eliminating cancer and improving the lives of those affected by the disease.
I was commissioned to create a series of illustrations for the Irish Cancer Society’s 2020 Annual Report, designed and art directed by Debbie Cooke at Red Dog. The illustrations were developed to complement the report’s tone — hopeful, supportive, and forward-looking — and to visually reflect the charity’s commitment to care, community, and progress in cancer research and treatment.
Each illustration was created digitally, using simple shapes and a soft, approachable colour palette to balance warmth and clarity. The imagery aimed to be accessible and positive, supporting the report’s key messages and adding visual interest to complex content.
This project was selected for inclusion in the 100 Archive’s 2021 collection, recognising it as part of Ireland’s design landscape for that year.
