TU Dublin - Sustainable Timber Technology

Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin) is Ireland’s first technological university and the second-largest third-level institution in the country, with a student population of over 28,500.

I was commissioned by TU Dublin to create a series of illustrations promoting their new BSc in Sustainable Timber Technology programme. This degree is the only programme of its kind in Ireland, designed to educate future timber technologists and support Ireland’s growing timber industry and bioeconomy.

The illustrations were developed to encourage a diverse range of applicants and to highlight the breadth of topics covered by the course, including sustainable forestry, timber processing, environmental responsibility, and innovative design applications.

My approach combined simple, graphic shapes with a warm and natural colour palette, reflecting the organic materials and environmental focus at the heart of the programme. The compositions were designed to feel approachable and forward-looking, visually supporting TU Dublin’s messaging around sustainability and innovation.

You can find more information about the programme here.
